Call EMS right away. Explain that the patient has anaphylaxis and has received epinephrine.

Have the patient lie flat on their back and raise their legs 12 inches to stabilize blood pressure.

A second reaction can occur. If symptoms do not improve or return, and EMS is delayed, a second dose of epinephrine can be given after 5-15 minutes.

If the patient stops breathing, place them on the floor and begin CPR immediately.
